What to Expect
Oh what fun!
We’re so excited to welcome you to The Storey Garden & Grove for a memorable Christmas tradition on the farm! A visit to a real Christmas tree farm is full of fresh air, muddy boots, beautiful trees, and plenty of holiday magic. Here are a few things to know before you arrive.
What to Wear
Christmas tree farms are real working farms, so we recommend:
-
Comfortable walking shoes or boots
-
Weather-appropriate layers
-
Clothes you don’t mind getting a little dusty or muddy
-
Jackets, hats, and gloves on colder days
Fields and pathways may be uneven, soft, wet, or muddy depending on weather conditions.
&
The Experience
You’ll be walking through rows of live trees and natural farm terrain while searching for the perfect tree. Expect:
-
Uneven ground, hills, roots, stumps, and holes
-
Exposure to insects, wildlife, mud, pollen, and farm equipment
-
Outdoor weather conditions that may change quickly
Part of the charm of a real tree farm is enjoying nature just as it is!
Farm Safety
For everyone’s safety:
-
Children must be supervised at all times
-
Please stay within designated guest areas
-
Do not climb on equipment, fences, or stacked materials
-
Use caution around tractors, saws, wagons, and other farm equipment
-
Pets are only permitted if they are service animals
By visiting the farm, guests acknowledge the inherent risks associated with agritourism and outdoor farm activities, including uneven terrain, weather conditions, animals, insects, and farming operations.
